'Starring alongside Dillon as Jane is voice teacher Courtney Fowler, who has appeared locally in performances such as “Footloose,” “Les Misérables” and “Jesus Christ Superstar.” Fowler has more life experience than some other actresses who auditioned for the role, [Peter] MacDonald says, and a certain something he was looking for that goes behind the ability to do an English accent.
“There’s an innocence, but also an understanding,” he explains. “There’s an underlying tone and she is able to understand that.”'
“These two women [Megan Barnes and Courtney Fowler] have been steadily making a name for themselves in musical theatre productions here in St. John’s over the past few years, and we wanted to give them an opportunity to really show what they can do. We’re talking serious pop vocal powerhouses,” said Kyle McDavid, Best Kind Productions’ musical director.

"Absolutely wonderful show last night.
Beginning with the immense talent of all the fabulous singers in the first half to the deeply emotional realism portrayed in the second half.
Your play struck all the right notes of honesty, pain and hope that had my heart wrenched from the start. This play should be performed for all youth so they can understand they are not alone and that there is hope!
Great job to all!!!"

"Makayla played the lead character, Amanda, in this play. Amanda's depression was played by fellow student Myah Shallow. Their performances, along with the others in the play, were outstanding. Phenomenal play written by her voice and acting teacher, Courtney Fowler, about mental health awareness and should be shown in every school in the area. The message came through loud and clear. Kudos to Courtney and everyone involved."

"Posting this a little late but I wanted to give a shout out to Shyanne Collins and Jessalyn Collins, voice-theatrical coach, person extraordinaire, Courtney Fowler. A few weeks ago we attended the girls recital which also included a play about depression, written by Courtney. We listened intently, we laughed and we cried, it is probably the most emotional show that I have ever seen. Courtney, you are so talented, we love you dearly and the girls are so fortunate to have you as their coach! Thank you so much for what you give to our girls! XOXO
