Includes movement, acting and singing; the perfect introduction! In this class, we play creative games for bringing out individual personalities, strength and character building exercises to improve confidence and stage presence; all in a warm, fun and nurturing environment. We learn the fundamentals of music through singing, rhythm games, rhymes, and play. We learn empathy, team building, social skills and self awareness through theatre games. We learn how to express ourselves through movement and dancing.

Performance Opportunities:
Includes 2 main stage performances - December and May - and occasional visits to Retirement Homes!

Don't Shy Away:

Children are able to be in class and NOT perform if they wish. If your child loves to sing, dance and act but you are worried they are too shy for class: not to worry. Bring them in to observe a class for free. You may sit with them in class, and if they start to feel comfortable participating, you can move to the waiting room, assuring them it's okay and you aren't leaving. We've had a lot of success with children who are anxious, shy or nervous. Coming to class a few minutes early, settling in the environment, and removing any pressure off the child is key. In a few weeks, once they are comfortable, they may surprise you - it has worked time and time again!

MUSICAL ME PROGRAM (Age 3-5)

Class Times:
Private Sessions Only

Prices:
$25 per class

Class Description:
The Musical Me program integrates rhythm, rhymes, different instruments, singing, ear training and reading music notation into games and songs that teach children music fundamentals. There are so many benefits to teaching music to young children. Musical Me is a very fast paced half hour full of movement, singing and learning at your child's pace.

Musical Me is taught in a private or semi-private setting, meaning students are taught solo or in very small groups of 2-3 to make sure they understand concepts and get the individual attention they need. Semi-private also offers the benefit of socialization and making friends that will last a lifetime. In my studio, there is opportunity to grow into whatever class style they like when they get older.

Graduation: Students can progress into the Junior Performance Program, which focuses in singing, dancing and acting, or they can move into private lessons. At this young age, they can do 15 minutes of voice and 15 minutes of an instrument of their choice: beginner piano, guitar or ukulele.

My community of singers are very social, so they will likely make friends along the way during our many performance opportunities. We have 2 main stage shows a year, and we often perform at retirement homes to spread the joy of music to the community.
